You know, I just try to cook whatever simple recipe I can find online, haha! And then, I keep the recipe if the dish taste good. For my latest trial, I cooked Picadillo with Potatoes. It tasted yummy so I’m blogging this today.
I love dishes with lots of sauce and this Picadillo with Potatoes fits the bill. This is another dish I intend to cook if I have a toothache and I can’t chew well, hehehe!
Picadillo with Potatoes
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 piece onion minced
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 kilo ground beef
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 2 pieces tomatoes minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 pieces potatoes cubed
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
Instructions

In a wok, heat oil over medium heat

Add onions and garlic. Cook until onions are translucent in color.

Add ground beef and cook until color turns light brown.

Add fish sauce and continue to cook for 3 minutes.

Add tomatoes, mashing it together with the rest of the ingredients.

Add beef broth and bring to a boil.

Put heat into low, cover the wok and cook for another 10 minutes.

Add potatoes and continue to cook until potatoes are tender.

Season with salt and pepper.

Serve and enjoy!
