After watching Parasite, I couldn’t get over the dish that the rich woman ate in the movie. Like everyone else, I tried my hand in cooking it. I went to a Korean grocery and got myself 5 of each of the Chapagetti and the Neoguri instant noodles. And today, I finally tried cooking it. Of course, I had to add the expensive Ribeye steak (just like in the movie!).
The dish turned out delicious but I can’t say that I would be cooking it often. That’s only because I’m trying to stay away from processed food. Maybe, I can cook Ram-don without using instant noodles? We’ll see. I do have 4 packages each of Chapagetti and Neoguri so I will have to cook this dish some more in the near future.
- 200 grams ribeye steak cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 3 cups water
- 1 package Neoguri instant noodles
- 1 package Chapagetti instant noodles
Sprinkle salt and pepper all over the steak.
Heat wok over high heat. Add olive oil.
Add steak and cook for 2 minutes on each side.
Remove from wok and set aside.
In the same wok, put 3 cups of water and bring to a boil.
Add noodles and vegetable flakes from both the Neoguri and Chapagetti packages.
Cook for 3 minutes while stirring the noodles and vegetable flakes together.
Remove 1/4 cup of water from the wok.
Add the seasoning powder from both the Neoguri and Chapagetti packages.
Add the ribeye steak and stir for about 2 minutes.
Transfer to a plate then stir in the seasoning oil from the Chapagetti package.
Serve and enjoy!
