The past 2 years has been extremely challenging for me. So for 2018, I want to turn my life around and bring it back on track. So the past week, I’ve been planning on what I want to achieve this 2018. And here I am, sharing my 2018 goals. This is also the first time that I’m creating a visual board. 😃
I intend to write more about each type of goal but overall, the ones illustrated above are the things I want to achieve this year. I will review progress every month with my friends privately and then I’ll do a year-end post by December 2018 to share with you if I’m successful or not on my 2018 goals.
First up, my theme for the year is PROGRESS. I’m a perfectionist and this is something I want to fix with myself, that’s why I chose the word progress. I want to learn to be contented when I have progress on the things that I do. So 2018 is about progress NOT perfection.
2018 is also the year that I want to focus on myself. I feel like I’m so broken that I tend to be sad. I want to fight the negativity and the effect of my wrong decisions in the recent years and prove to myself that I can overcome this and I can redeem myself. I also want to focus on being kind even to people who do not deserve it. This is an advice I got from a dear friend and it’s the best advice I got last year.
Here are the things I intend to achieve in 2018:
- Run a 10km race
- Achieve my target weight of 115 pounds
- Sleep 7-8 hours daily
- Get ITIL Expert certified
- Finish reading the Bible
- Finish reading 12 books
- Blog more often
- Start a YouTube Channel
- Connect with people via Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest & Facebook
- Show my gratitude by posting daily on Happier
- Start working on my emergency fund
- Continue working on my investments & savings
- Learn to play the piano
- Learn the Japanese language
- Finish 2 cross-stitching projects
- Finish 5 perler beads projects
There are a lot more things I want to achieve but the above ones I intend to complete. Happy new year everyone! I hope you’ll have an awesome 2018!
