It’s the new year! I told myself I’ll cook more so that I can feed my beloved friends/family and I’ll also enjoy the food throughout the week. I rarely prep for snacks so I’m changing that now. Today, I prepped Pineapple Chia Jam. This is perfect for use with bread.
I chose mini buns for this and the protein? Of course, it’s ham! What other protein is perfect with pineapples? I loved how this Pineapple Chia Jam tasted. It’s perfectly paired with toasted buns and newly cooked ham. I thoroughly enjoyed this one!
Pineapple Chia Jam
- 227 Grams crushed pineapple
- 227 Grams pineapple chunks
- 2 Tbsp chia seeds
In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add pineapple chunks and crushed pineapples (include the syrups).
Cook pineapples until sauce is bubbling. I cooked it for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and add the chia seeds. Stir well the chia seeds and the pineapples.
Place in a food processor and pulse till smooth.
Transfer to a small bowl and set aside to cool.
To serve, toast some buns and cook some ham. Place pineapple chia jam and cooked ham inside the buns. Enjoy!
