Melon Juice

My ultimate favorite melon drink is the super duper simple classic Melon Juice. It’s so refreshing and this drink is perfect for tropical country like the Philippines. Just a sip of it and you’ll feel not just refreshed but also a bit of a dose of happiness. I just love this drink and I do tend to make this a lot. I won’t ever get tired of Melon Juice.

Melon Juice

After making Melon Juice, we do have to keep it only till the next 2 days. It’s not a concern for me since I can literally drink a liter of it in one day. I usually pour them into bottles and then I get one from the fridge whenever I’m craving to drink melon juice. One 500-ml is one serving for me 😊

  • 1 cup sugar

Melon Juice

  • 1 piece melon/cantaloupe
  • 6 cups cold water

Instructions

  1. Cut melon in half.

  2. Using a spoon, scrape off the middle part where the seeds and pulp are. Place on a bowl.

  3. Put one cup of water on the bowl with melon seeds & pulp. Stir and mash very well to extract the flavor of the melon.

  4. Then strain the juice and discard the rest.

  5. Using a melon scraper, scrape all the flesh from the melon.

  6. Separately, in a sauce pan, cook simple syrup by boiling 1 cup water and sugar. Then set aside to cool down.

  7. In a pitcher, add the melon strands, juice (from the pulp & seeds), simple syrup and water. Stir well.

  8. Serve the melon juice with lots of ice cubes. Enjoy!
