Melon Chiller

I went to the wet market 2 weeks ago to stock up on fruits and vegetables. I got some melon and I was wondering what to do with it. I enjoy drinking melon versus eating it. So it has to be a drink. Glad I found a recipe online. Apparently, adding condensed milk to melon works! So for today, I’m sharing Melon Chiller.

Melon Chiller

I don’t have a melon scraper at home so I used a melon baller which also works for this recipe. When serving, put lots of ice. I loved this!

Melon Chiller

Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 1 piece melon (Cantaloupe)
  • 4 cups water
  • 14 ounces condensed milk
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Cut the melon in half.

  2. Remove the seeds from the Melon using a spoon.

  3. In order not to waste the melon flavor, immerse the removed seeds in 1 cup of water. Then strain after a few minutes. Set aside the juice.

  4. Using a melon baller, press into the cantaloupe to get the meat in round form. Continue doing it until all meat are extracted.

  5. In a big pitcher, put the melon balls, the reserved juice and 3 cups of water.

  6. Add condensed milk and mix thoroughly.

  7. Serve in glasses with ice. Enjoy!
