Tofu Satay with Peanut Sauce

Ingredients

Peanut Sauce

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp hot water
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp shaoxing wine
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger

Tofu Satay

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 500 grams firm tofu
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain tofu from water. Slice into rectangular pieces.

  2. In a small bowl, combine peanut sauce ingredients.

  3. Set aside 1/2 of the peanut sauce.

  4. Use the other half of the peanut sauce to coat the tofu slices. Make sure to coat the tofu well with the sauce.

  5. In a wok, heat oil over medium heat.

  6. Add tofu and fry for 5 minutes on each side.

  7. Remove from the wok. Serve the tofu with the peanut sauce. Enjoy!
