Spicy Kangkong & Tofu

Servings 3 People

Ingredients

  • 500 Grams firm tofu
  • 5 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 8 Cloves garlic minced
  • 6 Pieces bird’s eye chilies chopped
  • 2 Tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tsp cornstarch dissolved in 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Tsp brown sugar
  • 1 Bunch kangkong chopped

Instructions

  1. In a wok, put 4 tbsp oil over medium heat, add tofu and cook for about 7-8 minutes. Set aside.

  2. In the same wok, add 1 tbsp oil over high heat.

  3. Add garlic and chilies. Saute until fragrant.

  4. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, cornstarch mixture and brown sugar. Stir well.

  5. Add kangkong stalks and cook for 2 minutes. Then add kangkong leaves and cook for another minute.

  6. Add fried tofu and combine with the rest of ingredients. Cook for another 2 minutes.

  7. Place dish in a serving plate and enjoy!
