If there’s a shop I can think of when it comes to bread, that’s French Baker, haha! So this time, I wanted to try out baking my own Classic French Bread. What can go wrong? The bread maker makes it soooo easy for me to make one!
I love how the French Bread came out. I actually like this better than the Basic White Bread. Since I have a super bread machine, I no longer see the need to buy bread commercially!
Classic French Bread
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 1/4 cup bread flour
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
Instructions

Put the ingredients into the bread pan in the order listed.

Insert bread pan back into the bread maker. Close lid.

Select french. Choose loaf size and crust color.

Press start.

Once bread is done, protect your hands by wearing baking gloves and take out the bread pan from the bread maker.

Remove the bread from the bread pan carefully.

Allow the bread to cool for 15 minutes on a wire rack.

Serve and enjoy!
