It’s the year 2023! Whoaaaaaa, time fly so fast and I can feel that I’m getting older by the day and there’s still so much stuff I want to achieve.
Considering how our bodies change as we get old, I know that I don’t have any more time to waste. I need to train my body so I can still be strong as years pass by. So this year, I’m focusing on my personal wellness. That’s the theme for this year.

Last year (and for many years), I’ve focused on work too much and have been eaten up by it. I will continue to work very hard but I will make sure I still have some energy left for myself. I intend to free up time for myself so I can work on my health goal for this year.
Lose Weight
30 pounds – that’s the amount of weight I needed to lose. I gained all those weight the past 2 years as I resorted to eating unhealthy food to manage stress. This has to change, I need to have a better way of relieving stress. I’m going to change the way I do things in order to achieve my goal of 110 lbs (105 lbs stretched target).
Move – Exercise
I subscribed to Fitness+ as I felt I needed that push to move my body. If I continue to be sedentary, there’s no way I’ll build muscles. I tried out Meditation so far but there are other types of workout available like HIIT, Yoga, Core, Strength, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Treadmill, Rowing & Mindful Cooldown.
With Cody around and considering he needs daily exercise, I get to walk at least 30 minutes a day with him 🐶 That helps with my move goal as well.
If I still have bandwidth, I would like to try jumping ropes. I bought this Smart Rope a few years back and would love to finally start using it.
Nutrition
I invested in the Macro Factor application. Macro Factor is an application leverages algorithms to provide coaching & personalized macro-nutrition plan in order for us to meet diet goals. In the past, I was using MyFitnessPal but all it does is track food. With Macro Factor, I get so much more. I’ve been using the app for one week now and there’s no turning back. With the data presented, I get to understand how I’m feeding myself and how I should adjust in order to be healthier. I realized I eat too much carbohydrates and fat. I’m working on moving to eating more protein-rich food. Let’s see if I get this right this year. Of course, here I am retrying not to eat junk food and drink Coke 😊
Health
I will continue to work with my dentist so I can achieve healthier gums and teeth. I also intend to start seeing a dermatologist (if you know a good one in the Philippines, let me know). My usual routine will continue (facial care, baths, foot spa, eye massage, etc). I’m thinking of investing in a good massage gun as well.
Career
My career is a constant & a continuous goal. I will continue to improve and work hard/smart. I will continue to upskill, improve and deliver stuff that will bring value to the company I work for.
Home
There are some very good progress on this front. Renovated my unit last year and I intend to continue home improvement by working on my balcony & storage areas. I intend to focus this year on decluttering. I just have too much stuff and I need to keep only things I use.
Keeping my yearly goals focused as I’m just the type of person that likes to try a lot of things. I will continue to be curious and try out stuff but I’m gonna keep myself grounded with my main goals for the year.
