Tofu & Spring Onion Soup with Ground Pork

I’m so glad I found another good tofu recipe and it’s soup! I don’t know why I suddenly crave for soups all the time. So today’s recipe: Tofu & Spring Onion Soup with Ground Pork is perfect! This soup is so easy to make and it taste so good even after reheating it! Feels healthy too!

The ingredients are so perfectly matched that it tasted soooo clean and flavorful! I really loved this Tofu & Spring Onion Soup with Ground Pork. When I prepared this, I didn’t think it was this good so this was a super pleasant surprise. I definitely added this to my favorite recipes that I intend to cook again in the future.

Tofu & Spring Onion Soup with Ground Pork

Servings 4 People

Ingredients

Ground Pork

  • 250 Grams ground pork
  • 1 Tbsp chicken stock powder
  • 1 Tsp white sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp salt
  • 1/4 Tsp ground pepper

Soup

  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 Cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 Piece shallot chopped
  • ground pork mixture
  • 1 Liter chicken stock
  • 1/2 Tsp fish sauce
  • 1 Pack soft tofu cut into small squares
  • 1 Bunch spring onion cut into 1.5 inch pieces

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, season ground pork with chicken stock powder, sugar, salt & ground pepper. Combine well. Set aside.

  2. In a wok, heat oil over medium-high heat.

  3. Add garlic and shallots. Saute until fragrant.

  4. Add ground pork mixture and cook for 5 minutes. Make sure to break up the pork.

  5. Add chicken stock and bring to a boil.

  6. Add fish sauce and tofu. Lower heat to medium and continue to cook for 10 minutes.

  7. Add garlic chives and mix well in soup. Turn off heat.

  8. Serve and enjoy the soup!
