The easiest dishes to cook are actually the most healthy. This Sayote in Oyster Sauce is a vegetable means it’s healthy then it just takes a few minutes to prepare and cook! How awesome is that?
I enjoy eating Sayote as it has texture. The sauce in this Sayote in Oyster sauce blended super well with the veggie and it’s great! Simple vegetable dish that never fails!
Sayote in Oyster Sauce
- 3 Pieces chayote peeled
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 6 Cloves garlic minced
- 1 Piece onion minced
- 1 Piece tomato sliced
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1/3 Cup water
- 2 Tsp cornstarch
- 1.5 Tbsp oyster sauce
In a chopping board, cut chayote into half. For each halves, cut into lengthwise wedges. Then remove the seeds, then slice again. To achieve the zigzag look, use the zigzag slicer. Set aside.
In a wok, heat oil over medium heat.
Add onions, garlic and tomatoes. Saute until onions and tomatoes are soft.
Add chayote and sauté for a few minutes.
Add soy sauce and sauce mixture. Combine well with other ingredients.
Saute for about 1-2 minutes more. Serve and enjoy!
