I love eating peanuts while working. I guess it’s psychological for me. I needed to munch on something when I’m hard at work. In the past, I would eat junk food. But then, as I started appreciating good health, I consciously removed junk food from my diet. So I’m learning how to prepare snacks on my own. One of them is this Chinese Fried Peanuts!
I do like salty snacks so I tend to put a lot more salt than usual. This bowl took me about a week to finish. It’s just nice that I have a snack ready to get and eat whenever I need. This is the Chinese version where it’s cooked with just oil.
Chinese Fried Peanuts
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 100 grams raw peanuts
- salt to taste
In a wok, put oil and peanuts together then turn on the heat to medium.
While the peanuts are being cooked, shake the wok from time to time.
Cook for about 20 minutes. Remove peanuts from oil and serve.
Add salt according to how salty you like your peanuts to be and mix well.
