When I’m feeling lazy but hungry, ground meat dishes is my go to. For today, I’m sharing the recipe for Pork-Pina Guisado. It’s very easy to cook the dish yet it’s so filling on the stomach and can take me at least a day or two (with 2 meals) to devour 😛
The taste of Pork-Pina Guisado is on the sweet side with the raisins and pineapple in the mix but it’s a unique combination that we don’t usually eat in our meals. For ground pork dishes, the usual cook is adobo-type. So if you’re looking for an alternative to cooking ground pork, this recipe is a good option.
- 2 cloves garlic crushed
- 1 piece onion sliced
- 300 grams ground pork
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/2 cup potatoes diced
- 1/2 cup carrots diced
- 1 1/2 tbsp raisins
- 1/2 tbsp rock salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 pouches 115 grams Pineapple Tidbits drained, reserve syrup
In a wok, saute garlic, onion, ground pork and soy sauce. Saute for 3 minutes.
Add reserved pineapple syrup, water, potatoes, carrots and raisins.
Add salt, sugar and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add Pineapple tidbits and cook for another 3 minutes.
Serve and enjoy!
