When in Rome Movie Review

when_in_rome_ver2

This was a cute movie!  Sometimes, we watch a movie because the lead stars are your favorite.  Even  without knowing that my celebrity crush Josh Duhamel was in the movie, I still watched it.  When my friends and I had lunch at CPK, a friend told us that When in Rome was pretty cool.  So we decided to just watch When in Rome after our lunch that day.

I loved the movie!  It was pretty cool indeed.  Honestly, the story was pretty simple, not even realistic but very light and romantic!  Sometimes, we don’t really need to have such a complicated or dramatic story to make a good movie.

A huge bonus was because my ultimate celebrity crush is in the movie!  I was like, “Hey, that’s Josh Duhamel!”  Made my movie experience wayyy more complete 😛  Well, ofcourse I was with someone special too so it was kinda perfect 😛

When in Rome is a romantic movie that talks about Beth who is busy with her career and who was a bit frustrated with love.  Her sister getting married to a man she just met a couple of weeks didn’t help either.  She travelled to Rome to attend the wedding and there she met the handsome man named Nick (Josh’s character).

Well, at that wedding, she went out to a wishing fountain and picked up 4 coins.  According to legend, if you take the coin from the fountain, you either return the coin to the fountain or give the coin back to the owner.  Or else, the person who tossed the coin into the fountain will fall in love with you.  You wouldn’t want to be courted for the sake of a legend right?  Any girl would love to be pursued coz they are truly loved..

The 4 guys who owned the coins that Beth took are the ff.:

  • Lance – a street magician
  • Gale – a self-absorbed guy
  • Anthony – an Italian artist wannabe
  • Al Russo – a sausage magnate

When Beth’s sister’s husband explained what Beth did, Beth thought that Nick was one of the owners of the coin.  So when true love found her, she thought it wasn’t true…

Fast forward, I guess you pretty much know what happened next.  When in Rome had a happy ending though.  It was a feel-good movie.. 🙂

Here’s the trailer:

I suggest you get the DVD when it comes out.

My verdict for When in Rome: 4 out of 5 stars.
