Ginisang Sayote with Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 piece onion minced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 piece tomato diced
  • 12 pieces shrimps peeled
  • 2 pieces sayote chopped into cubes
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix oyster sauce with water. Set aside.

  2. In a wok, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  3. Add garlic and onions. Cook until onions are translucent in colour.

  4. Add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes are softened.

  5. Add shrimps and cook until shrimps turn light pink in colour.

  6. Add sayote and oyster sauce-water mixture. 

  7. Bring to a boil.

  8. Lower heat, cover and continue to cook for 15 minutes. Check if sayote is tender.

  9. Season with salt & pepper.

  10. Serve and enjoy!
