I watched a lot of Korean TV shows but I can’t seem to write about them. So this year, I’m being very deliberate in making sure that every single movie or TV show that I watched, I need to write about it. So I finished Touch Your Heart recently in Netflix. It’s a romantic comedy and truly is a feel-good TV series. I enjoyed watching Touch Your Heart a lot!
Touch Your Heart is about a famous actress and a lawyer who fell in love in an odd circumstance. The actress had to work as the lawyer’s secretary in the firm so she can get back on the screen after she got caught in a scandal with a son of a rich family and lost her acting career.
Lee Dong-Wok and Yoo In-Na were so cute to watch. I especially love the 3 other couples in the series too played by Lee Sang-Woo and Son Sung-soon, Shim Hyeong-Tak and Gyeong-Hye Park, and So Yeon-Jang and Park Ji-Hwan. Every actor was great! Like every single one of them. They were all so relatable that I just feel for every single character. The story, the direction and the acting skills definitely shone in Touch Your Heart. I enjoyed every single episode of it!
With the 16 episodes, we were able to delve into each and every character in the TV series. I was able to relate to their stories, empathize with their pain and struggles., feel happiness for their romance and appreciate their love for each other as friends, colleagues and couples.
Some of the highlights for me are:
- the way Jung-Rok and Yoon-Seo built and worked on their relationship. Their love never wavered and they always have respect and love for each other. I loved that despite their busy schedules, they always treat their relationship as a priority. It’s pretty rare these days to have that kind of relationship
- Se Won and Yeo Reum… these two are the best! Their relationship was tested and both of them were able to get past through that. They fought for their relationship despite the society’s objection of it. I just appreciate people who don’t give a damn about what other people think and acted on what they think is right and important to them. I’m so glad they got their happy ending. ❤️
- Yoon Hyuk and Moon-hee, on the other hand, are so funny and so obsessively adorable! Their relationship is one for the books! I love how their story unfolded. They became an unexpected pair but it super worked!
- Doo Seob and Fun Ji.. a pair that I was rooting for so bad and got so disappointed it didn’t work out. I guess we can’t have it all!
My takeaway from watching Touch Your Heart is to embrace our emotions. We should love like there’s no tomorrow. Appreciate the people we have and always strive to be kind. Whenever tragedy strikes us, we will always have a way to get back up and get past it. Most of all, it’s a blessing having someone to love and love you back.
My rating for Touch Your Heart: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5 stars).
