It’s December 31 and I’m feeling very anxious. I do have lots of things I want to complete before year 2022 ends but I just couldn’t. I’m stressing out as I continue to not deliver all the things I wanted to do this year. But still, I consider this year a good year. I love how the things I wished for last year, I got to do them ❤️
COVID restrictions have been relaxed a bit this year and I finally got to travel! And the good thing is the country I was able to go to is the U.S.! I got to see my family after a super long time!
My theme for 2022 is Beginnings and I felt I did that. I approached the year with a different mindset. There was a certain feeling of accepting the way things are. I do things with a realistic view and work my best towards what I can do to make things better.
2022 PROGRESS REPORT:
Family & Friends
I’m incredibly lucky to have the chance to travel to the US early this year and got to spend a lot of time with family. I spent a week in Idaho and another week in California. This year, while still rare, I metup with my best friend and had catchups with a few friends. I do keep a hermit life still but I’m glad I got out of my home every now and then and spend quality time with people I care about.
For the first time this year, I gave Christmas gifts as well. It was very rushed but I’m glad I did. As they say, it’s all about the progress. I was only able to prepare for colleagues but hoping that it’ll get more organized next year and I get to this more often.
Build Investments
I failed to keep my expenses low this year. I was too engrossed at work that I couldn’t cook or do any hobbies I intended to do. So I ended up ordering food deliveries throughout the year. To add, I had a home situation where I got a super water leak at home that made me touch my emergency funds as I needed to pay for the repair plus all the damage it has done to my unit. So yeah, I wish that my situation will stabilize next year and I finally get to work on my finances better.
Learn Ukelele
I failed miserably in this goal. However, I ended up getting myself a PlayStation 5 and got to discover and try out several games. My favorite this year has been Slay the Spire. Still not done with the game but I’m half-way through. For the Ukelele, I will have to deprioritize this as I don’t think I’ll be able to work on this on 2023 either.
HeaRtyPH Kitchen
I have progress here. I got to hire someone to design my logo and had it printed as well. The printed stickers with the logo didn’t look good but I’ll use them anyways. I’ll be working on which food item to gift people with. Hopefully it’ll be successful in a way that I can turn HeaRtyPH into a small business 😊
Personal Wellness
Personal wellness for 2022, I definitely failed miserably here. I was just too stressed this year and food has been my comfort. I gained another 10 pounds and as I end 2022, I’m 35 pounds overweight 😭 I also ended up going back to drinking lots of soda, eating lots of junk food and instant noodles. I have to do better.
Professional Certifications
I missed taking the DAMA certification exams again this year. I just didn’t have the brain capacity to study or even the time. My membership in DAMA is expiring in 5 months. I won’t have any excuse not to take this exam in the next few months.
Hobbies
I didn’t get to do much hobbies this 2022 but I definitely watched a lot of Netflix and Disney+. I spent most of my weekends just resting, I was too exhausted all the time. I hope to work on my schedule & productivity so I have time left for personal activities.
My Home
My initial plan for my home is to organize but I ended up doing major renovation on it. I got some new appliances, had cabinets installed, lots of smart home products bought and installed and had hired some more companies who specializes on home improvements. This is the goal I progressed the most. I’m close to achieving the dream home I envisioned. And did I also mention that I paid off my home loan this year? 😃
2022 has been so tiring but it was a good year. Thank you to everyone who made my year great. You all know who are.
