Happy New Year!!! 🎊🎈
As with the past couple of years, I’m sharing my goals for the year during January 1. I’m entering the year with a hopeful heart … I do really wish that this will be a great year for me.
We’re still facing COVID-19, not as bad as the last 2 years as we’re all vaccinated and booster shots are coming. However, the virus is still here. Thus, this year we all continue to be cautious, only going out when required. Sometimes I wonder how we took for granted all of those years when we can freely go out and breathe the air without wearing masks, enjoying the beautiful places we’re in. I do miss traveling and eating out. Most of all, I miss my mom and my aunties in the U.S. My passport is expired already and it’s just impossible to get an appointment from our country’s Department of Foreign Affairs. I do hope that I finally get to do that this year. I really want to travel again.
Anyhow, sharing my vision board for the year 2022:
My theme for 2022 is Beginnings. I felt I’ve gone through most of the healing process last year so I’m approaching 2022 with a renewed heart and mind… I’m happy that I was able to let go of most of the hurt, pain and trauma that I had in the past. It’s unfair that victims are in charge of healing but that’s the way the world works. I’ve come to accept that fact last year and it paved the way for me to approach things differently and eventually, positively. There’s no way but up 😊
So back to my 2022 goals, they are mostly continuation of my 2021 goals as they’re too big of a goal. I anticipated that I had to continue them the following year. I’m a bit more organized this time as I’ve broken down each big goals to medium and small tasks. The program is called 2022 goals and each goal in the vision board is a project. Here goes…
Family & Friends
I will continue to build closer relationships with the people I care for. They’re not a lot, I can count them with my fingers. I do hope I get to see them in person, huhuhu. This COVID-19 is making us move to virtual meetups. While it’s a workaround, I really do want to catchup in person, dining together, laughing and sharing stories. I really miss those days. One thing I want to work on here is to be deliberate in giving gifts. My love languages are quality time and physical touch. Giving and Receiving gifts is the least for me. Thus, while I give, I don’t really plan it during important dates, I give when I feel like it, no occasion needed. This year, I understand that important occasions needs to be celebrated so I’m going to learn to treat those dates (birthdays & holidays) as special too.
Build Investments
My finances are messed up coz I spent too much on food, books, home stuff and clothes last year. This year, I’m limiting my spendings on home stuff. I will bring food delivery expenses down by 80%. My grocery expense will definitely go up but I want to cook more. This means I get to control what comes in to my body and that will help me with my personal wellness goal.
I would want to try out investing in cryptocurrency this year. On top of that, I want to look at my current stock investments as I just left them out for years and that isn’t helping me. I need to learn to be deliberate and smart in managing the stocks that I’ve bought.
Learn Ukelele
Populele – the first product I backed in Indiegogo and I was lucky enough to receive the product. It’s so nice! So this year, I’m gonna study how to play Ukelele. There are lessons online so I’m going to self-study. If successful, I will start posting videos of my playing here.
HeaRtyPH Kitchen
In relation to the family & friends goal, my target is to give the gift of food. So I intend to launch HeaRtyPH Kitchen. Just good branding for gifts, haha! They say that people eat with their eyes. Why not wow them with nice packaging before they even get to taste the food? I’m anxious about this but I really hope I get to do this.
Personal Wellness
Boy, I gained 20 pounds last year and I’m so out of shape, I feel awful 😞 So this year, I want to work on eating healthy, stop drinking coke, stop eating instant noodles and junk food and start eating fruits and drinking water. Hopefully, I’ll lose all those 20 pounds and 5 pounds more. My current weight is at 130 lbs. I want to reach 110 lbs by end of year.
Professional Certifications
I didn’t get to secure the DAMA practitioner certification as I was too afraid to take the exams. I will have no choice this year and take them. There are 2 exams and this time, I have no more excuse to delay further. Wish me luck!!!
Hobbies
Blogging, Cooking, World of Warcraft, K-Dramas and if there’s still time and capacity – playing piano. Those are the ones I want to do during my spare time since we still can’t travel and go out.
My Home
I started the declutter/organize process last year. However, I was only able to complete like 5% of the work. Why did I buy so much stuff that I ended up being so overwhelmed? I needed to fix it so I’m slowly decluttering/organizing, re-prioritizing as I go. I hope to progress much farther this year with at least the condo unit, sparkly clean and organized. The storage area, I’ll try as much as possible to complete this year. Realistically, this might go over next year. We’ll see but I’ll push hard.
This year I continue to live a hermit life. Good thing there are still lots to do so I won’t get bored… Wishing everyone a prosperous and happier year… Happy 2022!
