Happy new year! This definitely is a different celebration for all of us. We all collectively experienced a difficult 2020 as well due to COVID-19. Some have lost loved ones while some had the greatest time as they were given time to spend quality time with family at home. As for me, well, I’m not alone anymore as I have Cody… 🙂
As I think about the goals I intend to do this year, I considered the fact that we’ll continue to be on lockdown and that we are refrained still from going out (including working at the office).
So here’s my vision board for the year 2021:
My theme for 2021 is Healing. I will use this time to work on myself and improve my personal wellbeing which in turn will help me live a happier life. I’ve been in such a dark place for almost 5 years now and since I’m still here, I need to turn my life around.
Home Declutter & Organization
The major renovations are done so I’m left with doing the actual decluttering and organization. I have a hugeeee project plan for this and it might take me more than a year to complete it. However, I will make major progress this year.
Decluttering means removing stuff I don’t need and keeping only things I’m actually using.
Organization is a different ball game and this will take me forever considering my OCness. But once it’s done, the fulfillment is so nice!
Nurture Connections
Last year during my loneliest time, I learned who my real friends are. And this year, I intend to show my appreciation to them.
Continuous Learning
I love learning. I always feel that time is just too short as there are so many things to discover and learn in this world. For 2021, I strive to get another DAMA certification (practitioner). I also intend to read book excerpts so that I can learn from various authors and share my notes in this blog as well.
Spend Wisely
The goal is to spend only when it’s an absolute need. I have already spent so much last year due to retail therapy and it messed up my finances real bad. I can’t say I regret what I did last year though coz it gave me temporarily relief at the time. This 2021, I need to get myself back on track. I’m not getting any younger and I need to plan for my future thus, spending wisely is the key.
Personal Hobbies
As I think about what I’m going to do with this, I struggle as I just have too many interests. I, myself, can hardly keep up, hahaha!
What I would commit for 2021 is this blog. I will work my very best to post daily and keep this blog alive. I intend to fix this as well by revising old entries, get a new website logo and fix the structure of all the blog posts.
Other hobbies I’m continuing to do are: playing World of Warcraft, learning to play piano, arts & crafts (paper crafting, cross stitch, diamond painting, painting by numbers & gift wrapping) and photography.
Of course, cooking will always be a constant especially now that I want to stop ordering food online.
I’m not gonna claim anymore that 2021 is my year but I intend to do my best to make it a better year than the past few years.
Happy new year again my friends!
