Love is Blind

I signed up for a trial account at HOOQ recently so I decided to binge watch on Filipino movies. Love is Blind is the first one that I watched. So pardon me if the movies I’ll be reviewing most of the time in this site are old releases. I usually spend my free time catching up on movies at home. It’s enjoyable watching at the comfort of your own place.😊

I got curious to watch this movie because of Derek Ramsay & Solenn Heussaff. They are known to be ex-lovers and this is the first time that they’ll be having a movie together. While both of them have moved on with their lives, I’m curious as to their chemistry on screen. As both artists are good-looking, I expected an eye-candy movie.

While I expected little of this movie, I’m actually surprised as to how good the message of Love is Blind is. It showed us a couple of things about love, self-image, self-confidence and infatuation. Love is Blind is a perfect title for this film. The story really evolved around how love is blind. Blind in a way that beauty is really skin deep. It is how our partners let us feel about ourselves. However, it also showed the reality that people generally are more kind and accepting to people who dresses well and looks super good. But in the end, we realize what or who is really important to us and we’ll eventually learn to appreciate. There is one more aspect wherein we don’t have to look far to see who truly cares for us. Sometimes, they are just in front of us or beside us. We just have to open our eyes and heart and there we’ll see the thing that we have longed taken for granted for. Love is really beautiful! We just have to appreciate and enjoy the love! ❤️

I really like these kinds of movies. Love is Blind is a romantic comedy and while it’s fun, there are tons of lessons we can takeaway in a lot of aspects in our lives.
