Bok Choy with Garlic  

I’ve always enjoyed Bok Choy with Garlic at Chinese restaurants. Now, I get to finally cook this dish and it’s actually super easy to cook! The only challenging part is the presentation 😛

The key to this is cook the garlic well. Also, the more garlic the better!

Bok Choy with Garlic

Servings 2 People

Ingredients

To Blanch Bok Choy

  • water enough to immerse the vegetable
  • A Pinch salt
  • 2 Drops oil
  • 1 Bunch bok choy

Cooking the Dish

  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 6 Cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce

Instructions

To Blanch Bok Choy

  1. In a big pot or wok, bring water to a boil. Add salt and a few drops of oil. Stir.

  2. Add Bok Choy and blanch for 1 minute. Take Bok Choy off the pot or wok, drain and set aside.

Cooking the Dish

  1. In a wok, heat oil over medium-high heat.

  2. Add garlic and cook until golden crispy. Be careful not to overcook the garlic.

  3. Arrange blanched bok choy in a serving plate.

  4. Pour cooked garlic with oil over the bok choy.

  5. Drizzle soy sauce on top. Serve and enjoy!
