Wow! It’s the end of the year 2021 and this year flew too fast! My horoscope said that this year is a good year for me but was it? I do think I had a decent year. I indeed felt that the theme I set for this year, I lived it through and through…. Healing ❤️🩹
Considering how we continue to be stuck at home, I approached the year focusing on what I can do at home. I ended up eating and doing online shopping all year long, hahaha! I definitely gained all the weight I so hard worked for losing 2 years ago. Nevertheless, I can just work on losing those excess weight again next year.
PROGRESS REPORT:
Home Declutter & Organization
More improvements were done in the balcony namely planter stands for my 2 big pots. Herbs are still trial and error because some plants are still dying on me. I have more to learn when it comes to being a plantita..
One section I focused on my home is the kitchen. While I haven’t finished the organization and decluttering of it, I was able to complete the system and the organization of the kitchen pantry. I’ve decided on mason jars for my spice cabinet. All of the spices, canned goods, sauces are all digitally organized as well documenting their expiry dates so I don’t miss anything. This is also to ensure that I don’t eat bad food as food poison is a big no-no.
Nurture Connections
My mom and I greet each other good morning & evening every single day. I’ve also gone closer to dear friends who I’ve treated as family. I reconnected with my best friend who I lost touch for over a decade. I wasn’t totally locked up this year so I had gotten to see a few friends.
Cody celebrated his 1st birthday! 🐶
It felt good this year.
Continuous Learning
I didn’t have the strength to take any of the DAMA practitioner exams but I got the SAFe certification. I also did a lot of reading this year. Mostly on books and I’ve compiled all my learnings in this blog. Check this out —> Book Learnings.
Spend Wisely
This is a hit and miss. I finally started investing in US stocks. I also signed up for crypto but haven’t started trading.
The spending part I failed terribly. I shopped too much on Grab Food, Shopee, Zamora and Big Bad Wolf. The good thing is I finally got out of my Uniqlo addiction and I realized that I have enough clothes, shoes and books. There won’t be any more purchases on those but if I do, one has to go. I learned that the space I have at home for those stuff is my limit. So if I have 50 slots for shoes, I should keep the number at 50.
Personal Hobbies
This blog definitely had a lot of movement. All the recipes, book learnings and goals posts are organized. Plus, I started doing K-drama journals. World of Warcraft? I finally got my character to maximum level, wohoo!
I do think I’ll have a similar theme for next year as I intend to continue what I started in 2021. It’s a good year and I feel contented and happy 😊
