I strive to always learn new things. A lot of people might not know but I love crafts! I do not really care if it’s something that is mostly for kids. For me, as long as it creates something beautiful and creative, I’m in! So in this 2018 Hobby Goals of mine, I have some hobbies that is mostly learn by kids, hehehe! Age is really just a number as far as I’m concerned.
Ever since I saw perler beads, I became so interested in it! I love how we can create coasters, mini cabinets, bracelets and even big canvas that we can hang on our walls. I like that most of the finished products created online are related to popular game characters. And I’m super excited to create one for myself and for my friends. So since I really have so much things I want to do this 2018, I’m limiting myself to 5 Perler Beads projects for now. Before I create, I intend to fix my craft storage area first. I’m super OC that I can’t start unless my craft area is clean and super organised!

I started piano lessons this 2018. I hope to get myself up to speed with playing on my digital piano. I hope that once I get the hang of it, I get to play my favorite Chinese songs and get to help play some hymns for my church too! I think for 2018, I will only get to finish basic and intermediate classes. I’ll finished the advanced lessons by year 2019.

This year, I’m revisiting my love for cross-stitch. I bought several kits from craft stores in the US late last year. I chose 2 from my stash and I intend to complete them. Here are my 2 cross-stitch projects for 2018, I really wish I can start very soon:

Lastly, I intend to learn a new language: Japanese. As we are approaching March and I haven’t really started any of my hobby goals, I’m a bit unsure if I’ll be able to study the Japanese language by finishing all the Duolingo courses this year. But let’s see. I’m still going to aim high.
[Update] As the year passes by, I realised that I should brush up on my Mandarin instead of studying a new language. I do not know any Japanese anyway and I don’t think I’ll be able to practice without anyone to talk to. 😃
