I was looking forward to watch the Equalizer because of two people: Denzel Washington and Chloë Grace Moretz.
While I watched the Equalizer due to the two lead stars, there is one quotation that left my mind as a parting lesson:
The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.
The quote made me think about my own purpose in life. Have I really found it? I do things based on my goals and I really follow my task list very seriously. But then, I do not think I really called out or even reflected why I live in this world and why I’m still alive or what my purpose is. The Equalizer made me think that.
You see, in this movie, Denzel Washington’s character knew why he is alive and what his purpose is. And that is how the movie was panned out. We saw how Robert McCall (played by Denzel) lived his life as ‘The Equalizer’.
What is the Equalizer’s life purpose? It is to help people in need by using his skills. In the Equalizer, we saw how he became a hero to some people. A modern-day vigilante-hero, that is. Expect some action in this movie.
