McDonald’s French Fries Holder

Good job McDonald’s!

After having a long day at work, at past midnight, I had the urge to drive-thru a McDonald’s store.  Guess why?  I had to buy McDonald’s new product gimmick — a Fry Holder for our car!

It wasn’t hard to convince me to go and buy despite me wanting to cut down on calories and yes, McDonald’s french fries!  The oh so yummy fries especially when newly cooked!  Oh, McDonald’s, why you torture me so?

This is all my dear friend’s fault — Maus!  Yes, you Maus, if you’re reading, you’re the culprit! hahaha!  Kidding aside, I’m actually glad that she told me about McDonald’s promo.  Imagine, we can buy this useful McDonald’s Fry Holder for just Php 45!  I remember when I was addicted to Mcdo fries, I would buy two large orders every single day.  I would then just put it in my car cup holder.  Pushing the container in even when it doesn’t really fit.

There’s a catch though…

We have to buy a medium or large value meal in order to purchase the fry holder.  Take note, you can only buy one piece of McDonald’s fry holder for every value meal.  Since I needed to buy two pieces, I had to order two McNuggets value meals.  My bill was Php 390.  Php 300 for the value meals and Php 90 for the fry holders.  I ended up eating super yummy fries and McNuggets at around 12:30AM to 1AM! :O

Oh….  I ate half of the fries already, hehehe!!

Whoever from McDonald’s team thought of this is a genius!  They actually achieved two things with this promo:

1. McDonald’s were able to resolve consumers’ struggle (especially hungry drivers) on where to put the yummy fries on their car when they order from drive-thru. 
2. We end up buying more french fries from McDonald’s.  Whenever we see this beautiful fry holder in our car, it reminds us of the yummy, super tempting, and oh so delicious french fries from McDonald’s.

McDonald’s Philippines is offering the Fry Holder only from August 11-23, 2014.  I got mine already.  Have you gotten yours?
