Last friday, my friends and I had the privilege to watch the X-Men Days of Future Past courtesy of PLDT Home TVolution. X-men is one of the most anticipated movie franchise. I watched every single X-Men movie shown here. I must say that after watching Marvel’s latest X-Men movie, X-Men Days of Future Past is their best yet! I’m not really an X-Men geek and I haven’t read any the comics. However, I immensely enjoyed every single scene in the movie.
X-Men Days of Future Past brought together characters from the young and old (X-Men trilogy & X-Men: First Class). Seeing my favourite stars work together is surreal. Obviously, X-Men Days of Future Past includes time travel. They must do it to save the mutants. I love how similar the mutants are with humans – we feel the same, & we care the same, the only difference? they have superpowers!
X-Men movies so far
- X-Men (2000)
- X2: X-Men United (2003)
- X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)
- X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
- X-Men: First Class (2011)
- The Wolverine (2013)
- X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014) — my favourite!!!
There is one thing I noticed that Marvel kept doing on their X-Men movies. That is they focus on the character of the star who’s popular at the time. When Halle Berry won an Oscar, X2: X-Men United gave too much airtime to Storm. Then we all know that Jennifer Lawrence also got an Oscar, and here we are, Mystique is the main character in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Maybe it’s a coincidence, but definitely a very good development for the X-Men movies.
X-Men: Days of Future Past List of Characters

The best sequences in the X-Men: Days of Future Past is where the Xmen saved young Magneto from prison. The best scene which made me laugh out loud in the cinema is when they showed Quicksilver doing his thing. It was utterly hilarious! You have to watch the movie and you’ll know what I’m talking about. The music, and the way Evan Peters played the character are just too awesome not to notice. Easily the best in the XMen: Days of Future Past movie!
I wouldn’t mind watching the movie again if I get the chance. Thanks again PLDT Home TVolution for the tickets to the special screening!
My Rating for X-Men Days of Future Past: 5 out of 5 stars
