Ever since I got sick the other week, I said to myself that I should start eating healthy. I know it’s going to be super hard because I love junk food, I love fried food, and I love oily & spicy food.
I came across a lot of articles about juicing. The articles state that juicing will help detox and will definitely help us achieve a good health. I kept that in mind. Good thing I bought myself a juicer from months ago due to a sale in the malls. So there goes my chance to finally use it.
It won’t be easy considering how lazy I am in preparing juices. I mean it’s really time-consuming and effort-consuming getting the juicer from the cabinet, cleaning the fruits/vegetables, cutting them, preparing them, then lastly, cleaning everything up.
However, I thought this will be for my health. I’m not getting any younger and I’ve been getting sick often. I have to do something to fix it or else I’ll be doomed.
So there, I plan to do this slowly… so baby steps. I’m going to prepare juices every sunday. So today, I made myself a Cucumber and Celery juice. I love cucumber! It’s very refreshing especially if juiced. There are a lot of recipes online about cucumber juice but they have soooo many ingredients. I tried to find something that is easier to prepare. I stumbled across Shine on Raw and found an easy cucumber-celery recipe.
I also researched if it’s okay to include the celery leaves into the juice. Apparently, we can add them! I was a bit wary how the juice would taste like. Luckily for me, it tasted good (not to green as everyone thought).

Most of the nutrients of the cucumber is in the skin so I didn’t remove them. Celery leaves can be included in the drink as well so I put everything in the juicer. Verdict? very good! I drank 1 liter of this juice as a meal replacement. I’m planning to do this once a week for now. Let’s see if I can sustain this 🙂
Cheers for a healthy life!
