Project Ondoy: Real Living Gives Back

Real Living is offering a contest for readers whose homes have been damaged by the Ondoy Typhoon.  It’s called Project Ondoy: Real Living Gives Back.

Project Ondoy is a special contest that is open to Real Living readers residing in Metro Manila, Marikina, Cainta & Antipolo.

Qualified readers are given the chance to win over Php100,000 worth of home makeover!  It is Real Living’s way of giving back to the community.

Here are the requirements:

  • Baranggay clearance stating that the reader’s home was affected by Typhoon Ondoy
  • Provide at least 3 clear photos of the rooms during or after the typhoon damage (photos should show clear evidence of flood or typhoon damage).
  • Include a photo of yourself and/or your family.
  • Provide full name, birth date, occupation, mobile number, landline number.
  • Short paragraph composed of 50 words or less about how you survived typhoon Ondoy & what damage it has done to your home.
  • Promo doesn’t cover houses that have structural damage & electrical damage.
Here is how:
  • Snail Mail or Hand Carry to: Real Living Ondoy Makeover Contest c/o Marketing 2, Summit Media, 7/F Cybergate Tower 3, Robinson’s Pioneer Complex, Pioneer Street, Mandaluyong City.
  • Electronic Mail (E-Mail) to: makeovers@realliving.com.ph w/ subject heading: “Ondoy Makeover Contest”
The promo runs from October 16-31, 2009.  Deadline of Submission is on October 31.  So hurry!  You only have a few more days to submit your entries.

    Hi! I love this idea! @cocoy suggested that I leave a comment here re: the suggestion to have the respondents/contestants post their stories/photos online and the one with the most votes/comments wins! or maybe have a category just for online and another offline. would be cool to see how much social media can make a difference in getting the word out…as it has powerfully done so (as i've witnessed from here in Hawaii when Ondoy/Ketsana struck the Philippines). Aloha…

    However, for this contest, winners will be chosen by the Real Living Staff exclusively.
