Sinigang na Hipon

Servings 4 people

Ingredients

  • 8 cups water
  • 1 piece onion chopped
  • 2 pieces tomatoes chopped
  • 1 pack sinigang mix good for 2 liters
  • 2 pieces long green pepper
  • 1 bunch string beans cut into 1.5 inch length
  • 3/4 kilo shrimps
  • 3 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 bunch kangkong cleansed and cut into 1.5 inch length

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add water and bring to a boil.

  2. Add onions and tomatoes. Cook until their texture are soft.

  3. Add sinigang mix and simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. Add long green pepper and string beans. Simmer for another 3 minutes.

  5. Add shrimps and fish sauce. Simmer for another 5 minutes.

  6. Add kangkong, turn the heat off and cover the pot. Let the steam cook the kangkong. Wait for 5 minutes.

  7. Remove from pot and serve. Enjoy!
