Mushroom Chicken Loaf with Gravy

Ingredients

For the Loaf

  • 1 can 400g pieces & stems mushrooms drained and chopped
  • 500 grams ground chicken
  • 1 piece onion chopped
  • 1 piece chicken cube crumbled
  • 1/4 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 piece red bell pepper diced
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper

For the Gravy

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 piece onion chopped
  • 1 can 198 grams pieces & stems mushrooms drained
  • 1 can 170 grams cream of mushroom
  • water use just 1/2 can of cream of mushroom to measure

Instructions

For the Loaf

  1. Preheat oven at 177 degrees celsius.

  2. combine all ingredients for the meat loaf.

  3. Put the mixture into a loaf pan.

  4. Bake at 177 degrees celsius for 30 minutes.

  5. Leave at room temperature for a few minutes.

  6. Slice the loaf into pieces.

For the Gravy

  1. Heat oil in a pan or wok.

  2. Saute onions and mushrooms.

  3. Add cream of mushroom and water.

  4. Season with pepper and simmer for another minute.

For Serving

  1. Place meatloaf slices on a serving plate.

  2. Put on top the gravy.

  3. Enjoy!
