A few weeks back, I shared our pre-wedding teaser. I felt that wow, we certainly chose the right photo-video team to cover our whole wedding! Ken and I were both excited to see the full version of the pre-wedding video but had to wait for our wedding day to see it.
The pre-wedding video was shown after our whole entourage was introduced in the reception. This was before our awesome wedding hosts introduced Ken and I to the pavilion. We couldn’t see the video clearly outside so Ken and I were only able to really see the whole video online.
We shot the video in three locations: Sonya’s Garden in Tagaytay, Bonifacio Global City & Star City. We did the video shoot together with the photo shoot. All of those were shot for two days. It was so tiring to smile and pose for the cameras but it must have been more tiring for Photogenics Studios who had to conceptualize, shoot and guide us all throughout. Besides, all the effort and tiredness are worth it since we’d have the photos and videos to keep for the rest of our lives as a reminder of our union 😍
The locations were special to both Ken and I because they were where we started our love story…
- Sonya’s Garden – Sonya’s Garden in Tagaytay is one of my favorite places in the Philippines. I love their farm to restaurant concept. Their food are so good that I wouldn’t mind traveling far just to sample their dishes. When Ken and I were dating, he would bring me to Sonya’s Garden (I guess to capture my fragile heart, hehe!). People say that a way to a man’s heart is food but in reality, it’s not just the man’s heart you can capture with food but also women 😉
- Bonifacio High Street – Ken and I both love eating out and watching movies. Since I used to live in Taguig City, Ken would bring me in BGC to eat out and/or watch movie. I just love the ambiance in BGC. Even if we’re married now, I still prefer to hang out in BGC. We’re lucky that BGC has that option to give couples a chance to have prenup shoots but of course, we have to pay PHP 2,000 for a 4-hour shoot. It was well worth it! BGC is such a beautiful place to have a photo shoot.
- Star City – I love theme parks. When I was still single, I would go to places like Enchanted Kingdom to channel the inner kid in me 😜 During one of our dates, we went to Sky Ranch at Tagaytay but since Ken & I couldn’t get a permit to shoot there, we opted to shoot at another theme park, Star City. Star City is a lot bigger and I was looking forward for our shoot there. You can see in the video how I enjoyed our shoot in Star City. I wish to go back there! I actually appreciate the staff and crew of Star City for being so considerate especially during the carousel ride wherein we need to do a couple of reshoots.
I don’t think we’ll do a couple shoot like this in the future. A wedding is a good excuse for us to go through the wonderful capture of love and happiness. I will forever treasure this video.
The pre-wedding video is a bit funny too! More like Ken was funny (which he also is in real life). That’s why there is no dull moment with him because I can truly laugh at every small thing. Thanks Photogenics Studios for capturing our dating stage perfectly!
