Ken and I are officially married! There are so many things I want to share about that special day of ours. So please allow me to post tons of things on this blog about our wedding.
One of the highlights of our wedding is the speech of both my mom and Ken’s mom. I just couldn’t hold back my tears as I listen to their speeches and they were truly heartfelt. Especially now that we are already married, those words hold true.
I got a copy of both my moms’ speeches and I decided to post it here so that Ken and I will always have something to look back on. We love both our moms dearly 😍
Ken’s mom’s speech ❤️
To my son Kennard, you and your sister Stephanie are the most wonderful gifts that I have received from our Lord, you are always remembered in my prayer from the day that you were born up to the present. And it will continue as long as I live.
My son, today, you will be entering another stage of your life, being a family man, a more responsible, matured, loving Kennard are expected from you, Roch is an answered prayer, so you should love her from the bottom of your heart, love her the same as how you love yourself.
Roch, I have nothing to say but welcome to our family! Don’t worry, I will not be the typical mother in law that you are afraid to have, modern ako 😉 Together with Kennard, build a happy family with God as the center of your relationship. Don’t let thy self come in between you. Let God be the light of the path that you will be starting to walk together. We, as parents and your family, friends and brothers and sisters in the Lord are here to support and guide you whenever, whatever and wherever we are needed. Enjoy family life and enjoy church life. Have no fear. What God put together only Him will have the right to separate it. Together by God’s grace and with His blessing, you can do it.
To my balae Rita, don’t worry. Roch is in good hands. We will take care of her. You too should take care and wherever you may be, enjoy the church life! God bless you!
And thank you to all our family, friends, brothers and sisters in the Lord for sharing your precious time, witnessing and gracing this occasion. May God bless and take care of all of us.
My mom’s speech ❤️
Ever since Rochelle was a child, she has been an outgoing, strong and loving daughter. She always strives to be the best in everything she does; and continually learn and grow in all aspects. Whether at work or in personal well-being, in her relationships and friendships; Rochelle has always made me proud to be her mom!
When I first met her now husband, Kennard; I instantly knew he is a good man. I am filled with joy and confidence that Kennard and Rochelle are about to embark on this wonderful journey. A journey filled with the love and happiness as they come together as husband and wife. May the two of you always treat each other with respect, love, compassion and kindness!
When I was giving my daughter away today, I cannot deny I felt a loss. After all, I was giving her away to be married. But when I handed my daughter to her husband, I felt something else, and for a while, I didn’t know what it was. But then it dawned on me, that the feeling I was having was joy and happiness that I was giving my daughter away and Rochelle was happy, happier than I have ever seen her.
Ladies and gentlemen, I would also like to say a couple of thank you messages. First, to my daughter Rochelle, she is a gift from God and I am always grateful to have been given the honor to be her mother. May our good God continue to bless you and Kennard, that He grants them with safety, love and happiness all the days of their lives. Secondly, to all of you for joining us in our celebration here today, you have truly made it such a memorable occasion. Ladies and gentlemen, please join me as I wish the newlyweds all the happiness in the world. Congratulations to Rochelle and Kennard!
Thank you mommy Cecilia and my mom Rita for the wonderful speeches. Words just can’t describe our appreciation, gratitude and love for you both! Please stay healthy, ok? 😘❤️
